My fascination with the worlds of technology and banking began at a young age. I've always wanted to learn to code and have a strong interest in economics. This interest is growing as a result of my MYP economics, mathematics (Algebraic Geometry), and digital design classes. In mathematics, units such as data and statistics aided my interest. The crypto market and how it works is one area that I have never been able to grasp. I never got the free time I wanted to explore and understand cryptocurrency. The IB/MYP personal project gave me a chance to explore the things I love to do. I chose to Create a website about Cryptocurrency, whilst using HTML and CSS. The aim challenges my technical capabilities. I am learning to code using HTML (A field in which I lack basic knowledge). Blockchain and Cryptocurrency are linked to the MYP subject, Digital design. To intensify the demanding topic at hand, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency is a topic that changes on a daily basis. This required me to keep an organizer that accumulated and kept track of headlining crypto news. (Cut-outs of newspapers were placed onto the diary along with printouts of news articles and financial market updates). Learning the basics of HTML and CSS was easy to grasp however, implementing HTML and designing interactive and aesthetically pleasing websites is where the challenge developed. My personal project is correlated to the global context “Scientific and technical innovation.” This topic is interpreted as “How do we understand the world in which we live?” It is common to explore; how people utilize their understanding of technological advancements, the effect of technological progression in communities and environments, and the impact of technological development on human behavior and activities. While remembering this definition, it is imperative to understand how Blockchain has made humans adapt to the new “wave” and the significance of its shift in connection to future developments. It is important to highlight: Advantages, disadvantages, its impact and to demonstrate a clear understanding of the topic. I made minor changes to the global contexts, statements for it to suit the subject. Presenting my findings in a distinctive manner allows a better interpretation of my product and the knowledge it has portrayed.
